1. What are the methods I can use to donate to Jan Kalyan Party online?

You can donate online via national or international Credit Card/Debit Card or Net Banking (Indian Banks only) and Wallet. The Wallet option covers wallets such as MobiKwik, Airtel Money, PayTm, etc. as well as UPI (Unified Payments Interface) and Cash cards.

2. Can I donate through cheques/demand drafts. If yes, how?

You can send your Cheque/Demand Draft* in the favour of ‘Jan Kalyan Party’ with your name, phone number, complete postal address, passport number (for NRIs), PAN number and e-mail address (if available) to the address mentioned below:

While sending Demand Draft, please include a valid government-approved photo ID.

3. Are my donations eligible for tax deductions?

All donations except cash are eligible for tax deductions under Section 80 GGB/GGC of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

4. Who can donate to Jan Kalyan Party?

Donor should be an Indian citizen either living in India or abroad (NRIs with valid Indian passport).

5. How do I know that my donation has been received?

In case of online donations, a receipt is sent at the registered email address after every successful transaction. For Cheques / DD / cash donations, the receipt is sent by post or hand delivery as the case may be.

7. What payment gateways do you use?

For Domestic transactions, we use CCAvenue and Bill Desk payment gateways. For International transactions, we use Worldline payment gateway.

8. What security measures do you have in place?

The donation process is behind 128 bit SSL encryption. Our Payment gateway partners are PCI compliant. PCI compliance is the international minimum standard to be followed by all payment providers for security. Tens of thousands of people have donated to us. As soon as an online donation is made and is successful, donors get an email from JKP.

9. Do you store my credit card information?

No. The JKP servers do not store any credit/debit card related information with them.

10. What country should I select in the country field of my drop down?

While making online donation, select the country in which you are presently residing.

11. Does JKP accept international cheques?

Yes, international cheques drawn on foreign banks are accepted.

12. Can I use Paypal? Why don't you use Paypal?

No, PayPal has stopped their services for political parties in India.

13. Can NRIs pay into a local bank account e.g. US or UK bank account?

NRIs can instruct their bank to debit their account and issue a Demand Draft payable at New Delhi, in favour of “JAN KALYAN PARTY” and in Indian currency (INR). You need to give your details in the message column, including your Indian passport number. The post should be sent to: Jan Kalyan Party

14. Can I use Money2India / TimesofMoney or similar remittance service to donate to JKP?

Our NRI supporters with valid Indian passports have the option of easily remitting donations to Jan Kalyan Party through an online fund transfer from their foreign bank account to our bank account. Click here to make an online remittance through our donation portal.Note that we do not disclose our account number for this service as we need to track donor details.

15. What are JKP’s bank account details? I want to send money directly/deposit cheque/deposit cash.

We cannot share our bank account number as we will not be able to track donor details for unsolicited deposits. Therefore, we have provided a way for you to first register and then get a virtual account for you to transfer funds via NEFT/RTGS.

16. I had a failed transaction - what does it mean? Who do I get in touch with?

18. What if I don’t want to give my passport details?

For NRIs, passport number is a mandatory field to validate the citizenship.

19. I made a donation. I need a receipt for tax filing purposes.
